Fr, Chuck Gunti, OFM

Mission And Retreats Fr. Charles (Chuck) Gunti has been a friar for 45 years and a priest for 37.  His early priestly experience was as an associate pastor in Chicago, IL, St.Paul, MN and Quincy, IL.  In 1976, he joined the U.S. Army as a chaplain.  For 24 years, Fr. Chuck took care of the religious needs of soldiers and their families at posts in the U.S., Germany and Korea.  Fr. Chuck served at all levels of the Army Chaplaincy and retired in 2000.  He spent a sabbatical year at Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio, TX. The year concluded with a Master of Divinity degree.  Fr. Chuck lives in San Antonio, Texas.  He is a member of San Jose Mission Friar community.  As a former member of the National Board of Engaged Encounter, he continues to present Engaged Encounter weekends.  His main mimistry is to conduct parish missions throughout the Unites States.
